Help End Cruel Animal Testing
Every year, hundreds of thousands of rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, rats and other animals are poisoned, blinded and killed in outdated and ineffective product tests for shampoos, cosmetics, hairsprays, and other personal-care and household items. These painful and deadly tests are not only cruel but also unnecessary. More than 600 companies around the world have banned all animal tests forever.
Beginning this year, the EU will implement a complete ban on the testing of cosmetics on animals within the EU, including a ban on the marketing of cosmetics products which were tested on animals outside the EU. Urge the Indian government to follow suit by imposing a complete ban on the testing of cosmetics on animals, including a ban on the marketing of cosmetics products made outside the country that were tested on animals. PETA India's request to ban cosmetics testing on animals has also gained support from the Indian Council for Medical Research.
